Nick Sedgwick - Field Manager, Kiln Division

Nick’s experience consists of several complete kiln installations. One that was a 22’ diameter kiln at the new Holcim Plant in St. Genevieve, Missouri along with a complete cement cooler. Nick’s field experience also consists of rebuilding and installing the following equipment: Crushers, Coal Mills, Cement Coolers, I.D. Fans, Screens, Pan Conveyors, Elevators, Hammer Mills, Ball Mill liners and trunnions, Blowers, Rotary Valves, Plattco Valves, Screws and gearbox rebuilding.

Nick about his experience:

After working in the kiln repair and service field for many years, I actually switched sides and worked as a maintenance manager for a lime plant and as corporate maintenance manager for a major cement producer. This time gave me an opportunity to see things from the plant manager perspective and provides me a unique insight into the challenges faced by our customers.

From outage planning to equipment maintenance and from purchasing to capital projects management, I was able to expand my experience of twenty-eight years in the field service industry for quarries, cement, lime, paper, asphalt and chemical manufacturing facilities.

In Quality Kiln & Dryer Inc. I have found a company that displayed commitment to getting a job done and that would stick by their word - a quality that I have found to be the most important. When working with various vendors, I found that hiring the most reliable companies would let me sleep at night. That is what I would like to offer to you. Reliability and Quality Workmanship.
